Nigerian Dwarf goats have a number of positive traits that make them ideal for the home farm:

Small size (50-70 lbs); you don't need a lot of land.    

Calm, gentle, friendly.  Safe around children.

Great milk producers for their size ... upwards of 1/2 gallon per day.

This is Clyde (registered name: Son Rise Ranch Snow Burst), the lone buck of the herd.  When he's not attempting to mate with the does, he's attempting to mate with the wethers.  And that's about all he does.

UPDATE:  We're now up to three bucks, much to the chagrin of Clyde.  Both Toby and Little Richard are blue-eyed, as blue-eyed kids are what folks seem to be asking for now.   Pics to follow.  Eventually.
